Winter Edition: Week 2

Here are the prompts for week 2!

January 30: Decade or region
January 31: Bright colors
February 1: Dress up a coat
February 2: Group OTI
February 3: Something that scares you

It's kind of crazy how much faster this one is going by. I hope you guys are enjoying it as much as I am!

  1. I'm totally enjoying this Kayla! Thank you for doing this--it is pushing my creative buttons and helping me dress with purpose. And thank you, too, for all of your sweet comments and encouragement. You are wonderful! :)

  2. Whoa, the second week is much more difficult than the first week was! This is going to stretch my imagination a bit! :-)

  3. Okay, Kayla. Thursday's wear-something-that-scares-you prompt has me thinking I need to get some skinny jeans. Yeah, I don't have any. I've been resisting hard because at first I was thinking they'd be in for one season before everyone realized they looked like mom jeans. Then they didn't. Then I realized that they don't necessarily look like mom jeans but I worried my short, baby-weight-laden frame wouldn't look good in them. Now that I'm almost down to my pre-pregnancy weight, it might be time, but I'm scared.

Can you point me in the right direction as far as brand, wash, weight, fit, etc.? I've been looking at F21 because they're cheap, which appeals to me so that if I hate them later, at least I didn't spend a fortune on them. Also because we're living on a budget so thin a shoestring looks extravagant.

  4. Brinestone- I'd definitely recommend F21 for skinny jeans. Even if you're totally on board with them and want to wear them forever I still wouldn't recommend paying all that much. The knees wear out a lot faster than other styles so cheapy is def the way to go.

You might also try Charlotte Russe or I've even seen some at Wal Mart.

  5. Thanks! Oh, and I guess it's actually Friday's prompt, but I'm doing them a day early so I'm not in such a rush to get the pictures online.

  6. Hey, Kayla! This has been so much fun! I love reaching into my closet and working to get creative! I was SO thankful you did a 10 day challenge this time instead of 21--I feel almost a bit exhausted just after only 10 days. Would you ever consider doing a mini- challenge, like 3 or 5 days? I would totally be on board with that!
