Sorry. This picture was begging for a snooty mustache. |
A couple years ago I paid full price for this jacket. That may not seem monumental to you but for me? That is huge. I don't pay full price for anything. I find something I want and then patiently wait for it to go on sale then I wait a little more until I have a coupon and it goes on better sale and THEN I will finally evaluate whether or not I really want it enough to spend money on it.
This jacket, though. I fell in love the instant I walked into Gap. There was only one left in my size and not a mark-down in sight. I bought it. Heaven help me, I forked over the full asking price and I have never regretted it. I have worn the living snot out of the jacket and it is holding up beautifully. Worth every penny.
And I really love it with this dress.
Link up your bright colors below! As always, don't forget the lovely ladies in the Flickr group.
Your post made me laugh because I, too, actually paid full price for this jacket (the gray version). It was a difficult thing to do, but it was just calling for me.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it a fun jacket? Instantly makes you feel like joining a biker gang. :)
That jacket is REALLY cute - and definitely worth full price :) Loving your dress too - what an awesome color!

I'm so with you on the whole not-wanting-to-pay-full-price bit! At least you can justify the purchase by wearing it a lot! And it is VERY cute!
ReplyDeleteyet again I'm impressed by your serious sewing skills!! Love this outfit!
ReplyDeleteAside from being ridiculously jealous that you can wear short sleeves and no tights outside without dying, I love the outfit. And that jacket is really cute - I love the asymmetrical zipper. I have a similar one (worn with the sari yesterday) and I totally love it.

lace, etc.
Cool jacket! I love a pop of color in the winter...definitely!!! It's been such an unusually warm winter, too.
ReplyDeleteYour hair is beautiful...braided like that!
Love that jacket, and loveeeeee the color of that dress.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or do you have a moustache drawn on in the second picture? I'm so confused by this... I actually removed the privacy screen on my laptop to double-check... I apologize if I'm making this up. Awkward...
You look so bad-a in that 2nd picture. The jacket, mustache and expression are perfection.

Hey! I have a jacket just like that and i love it! It's from f21 though so you probably don't want to hear how little i paid for it. It was on sale, naturally. Haha. I always get made fun of for not wanting to buy anything full price, i feel ya. Full price is a big deal.
ReplyDeleteThat jacket is worth full price. It's so edgy and cool.
ReplyDeleteI do this sort of thing ALL the time. Usually if I leave the store and am still thinking about the item the next day I'll let myself go back & buy it. But frequently I find myself thinking 'Pft only 30% off? Yeah right!'
ReplyDeleteP.S. LOVE your mustache :)
Luv the jacket. It looks great on you. Worth every penny of that full price!!!
ReplyDeleteI just wish I was as patient as you- I need to learn to be, so I don't spend so much money! I love your hair here as well!! You look great!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love how you paired the vest with the dress. It looks fabulous! Now I'm off to see if I have any recent "winter brights" outfits I can link up to :)
ReplyDeleteHello, I have just joined you and these gorgeous group for the firts time.

ReplyDeleteI never pay full price for items either, but I love your jacket!!!
ReplyDeleteNice 'stache. That jacket is pretty incredible as well.
ReplyDeleteGood call on the jacket. I LOLed about the mustache too.
