I have a love/hate relationship with Arizona. There's a lot to love but a lot to make you want to run screaming for the (cooler and greener) hills. But since it looks like we're going to be here for.ev.er (please say that in your Sandlot voice, thanks) I've been trying to make my peace with the southwest. I even have my eye on a pair of cowboy boots.
There are many things I am still learning to love about my desert home but there is also lot I can totally get behind. Like turquoise jewelry! And 70 degrees in January! And fry bread. Sweet mercy I love fry bread.

Very beautiful pictures! I completely understand your love/hate realtionship! I have a similar one w/ Chicago, but the weather seems to change so often so I guess it's not too bad.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree with annie, the arizona you love to hate sure looks good in your pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat turquoise necklace is beautiful and I'd kill for it to be 70 degrees in January! I think you should totally get a pair of cowboy boots, I've always wanted them but I can't really rock those in Jersey.

ReplyDeleteI live in the southwest as well- and I have a love/hate relationship with it. But like you said- I always get behind the turquoise jewelry. I love your turquoise pendant! Thanks Again Kayla, this challenge is awesome!
ReplyDeleteLoving the necklace! I have a great piece of Asian-flavor carved wood that looks like your stone and I'm inspired to try a similar design... Thanks for the inspiration!

Love, love, love your outfit!!!
ReplyDeleteKayla, you look adorable! But my favorite part is your hair. It's really cute parted down the middle like that.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I think I'm gonna sneak in your house and steal that necklace. If you hear your closet creaking open don't be alarmed. ;o)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great example of how a piece of statement jewelry can really make an outfit.
ReplyDeleteAaaand now I need me some fry bread.
