Freckles in April: Nieceness

Nieceness

I woke up yesterday morning to the text I've been anxiously awaiting for weeks. I dripped tears as I quickly packed a bag, grabbed Baby 2 and hopped a plane with my mom. And then! There was snuggling.

If the squishy baby face does not kill you a little bit inside then you might have no soul.

I'm sorry, WHO looks this good after giving birth?? I suspect witchcraft. I had c-sections that required me to lay there like a dead squirrel and I still looked like I had been hit by a truck. Nikki had labor all night long capped off with that pushing stuff and looked like THIS. And you should have seen her by the time we got there. All dressed in a cute top and made up and eating dinner with this tiny baby in her lap like it was a normal day.

Welcome, baby EJ. We're so excited to finally have some pink in our lives!

  3. You know how sometimes you say "What a pretty baby!" even when they ate a little funny-looking, cause hey, they're babies, and cute anyways? Yeah, not the case here. She takes after her mama - gorgeous!

  8. Awwww! Super cute. Glad you got to see her so soon! I'm sure that meant a lot to her! My twin sister is due in early December with her first baby--I am SO hoping she ends up having her while I am up in Michigan for Thanksgiving because I don't want to miss it!

Gosh, its really no fair how good some people look so soon! I looked horrid for three days (I had a c-section too) and all I wanted so badly was to take a shower and put on actual clothes!
