Open to Interpretation

For this round of Open to Interpretation, Amy chose this outfit of Kendi's-

This is a long time favorite of mine from her. I remember when she first posted it I thought, "Stripes on stripes! Genius! And I will never be brave enough." (wrong)

Despite the pattern mixing, the silhouette makes the whole thing feel so classic and feminine. BUT I own nothing resembling that shape (all wrong for my body type) so I took it another direction-

Thrifted shirt, skirt by me, Petal and Pink earrings (etsy), Target watch, F21 bangles, Charlotte Russe sandals

I felt so LOUD in this outfit but I liked it. Surprisingly, Aaron really liked it as well. I'm fairly certain it's because my upper half (ahem) was looking rather prominent in this shirt.

This close up is brought to you by Erica, who complained that my pictures are all too far away.

  3. I love the direction you went with this! How incorporated the essence of the outfit as opposed to straight copying. And as always, love that skirt. :)
