Adorning My Head With...Hair.

Thrifted shirt and belt, Macy's skirt, Kohl's slippers, F21 bracelets

Bangs aren't anything new for me. I had blunt bangs for a year or so then let them grow out because I have a cowlick right smack in front of my head that required me to blow dry them in a very specific way immediately upon exiting the shower and sometimes I just didn't feel like it and then I ended up looking like a deranged hippie.

But, I missed my bangs. OH how I missed them. I'd see bangs on Pinterest and sigh mournfully. I printed out pictures of bangs several times intending to take them to my stylist but ultimately decided I didn't want the upkeep again.

AND THEN. Kate of Iris inspired wore clip on bangs on the very first day of the challenge. And I was like, "What the crap? Clip on bangs? For $15? At Sally's? Which is right down the street?" And I hopped my little booty right in the car and went and got me some (they're called The Bang Thing, by the way).

So yes. My bangs are fake. And I love them.

(Aaron was a little freaked out when they were just laying on the table when he walked in. Can't really blame him.)

I was going to wear a hat for this challenge but I could not resist the allure of the fake hair. Can you blame me?

What did you slap on top of your noggin?? Let's see it! Link up below or add it to the Flickr group!

  1. Way to rock fake hair. I could never do that, being a redhead and all, NO color matches mine and therefore the fake hair would be WAY too obvious. Not so much a cool look.

  2. Woah! I never ever would have guessed your bangs are fake. I need to go get me some of those. I have a nasty cowlick too that has prevented me from ever having bangs like this.

  6. Wow, I never would have guess those are fake. Coolest thing ever? Maybe. I kinda want to check those out because curly hair + bangs + lazy = hot mess.

  12. Wow! I am impressed! It is the exact match to your hair and you look beautiful with bangs. Love the way they frame your face!

  13. Omg! Well, you look great both with bangs and without them. I had no idea that existed haha--they don't look fake at all.

  14. Ha ha! I saw those at Sally!! I wish I could do clip on, but the texture/thickness/color does NOT match my hair at all. I tried. Sad. Like you, I have The Dreaded Cowlick and have to immediately product-ize, blowdry, and flat iron the bang portion of my hair straight out of the shower, otherwise I have a bad hair day. Sad. (i also have a widow's peak, which one time, i shaved off. that was a funny story).

  16. Love this! I totally thought you got a hair cut. This would be perfect for someone who doesn't want to commit entirely to bangs.

  19. Ahhh!! They look so great on you! And thanks for the shout out! :)

I was a little worried about the color matching too, but it's real, human hair which you can dye to match your own hair! (And I dyed mine recently! It's not as hard as you'd think!
