New Hair-do

hairdo
Wearing Max Studio top (from Marshall's), Macy's skirt, gifted necklace, Target watch, Payless shoes (which you can't see)

Roughly inspired by this pin and a handful of others.

I love low buns in theory but in practice there's something about my facial proportions that is better suited to high up-dos. I did some crown teasing with this one though and was really happy with how it turned out. I felt really pretty all day, and isn't that the point?

Quick item of business before we get to the linking- Participants who have been affected by rather inclement weather, I'm thinking of you!! I hope you're all safe and sound. A couple girls emailed or commented and asked if they could be a few days late because of the weather and electricity failures and whatnot. My answer to this is of course. There's a built in 3 day lag period anyway with each link party and the Flickr group has no expiration. Just take your pictures and add them whenever you can! I won't dock points or anything. Stay dry!

Let's see that hair! Link up below or add to the Flickr group.

  2. Pretty! I do best with hair around my face...to slicked back and my face disappears.

  3. love the bun
is your hair really thick or did you do something to make the bun so full?
My hair is fine and thin, I always tease the crap out of it when putting it in a high bun.

  4. So pretty, Kayla! This look is beautiful on you. I'm suffering serious long hair envy here.

  5. So pretty! The outfit suits the hairstyle perfectly too.

And I am incredibly impressed that you could produce this result yourself... I am kind of hair stupid and don't have very long hair, so this one is definitely a challenge for me. Much brainstorming and Pinterest searching will have to happen first :)

  6. I like it! I did a low bun too. Not my usual, so it was sorta fun to try something new!

  8. The low bun makes you look very classical-painting pretty. I'm so jealous of your long hair.

  14. Oooh! so pretty!! You always have the best hair-dos, Kayla. And it's times like these that I hate my one-dimensional Asian hair. You can't see when I do my hair fancy because it just all blends together :(

Anyway, so I know the link party for the jeans (Friday) is closed, but I wasn't able to get my post up until this morning and I think the link party is closed already. Is it okay to link to on Flickr still? :) I think I know the answer, but just want some confirmation. Thanks, Kayla! :)
