21 Day Challenge: Day 4 > Color block

There was some whining over the pattern mixing prompt but you guys are knocking this one out of the park. Seriously. I'm dabbing my eyes over here with pride. I've even awarded a few surprise bonus points to the brave souls who mixed THREE patterns. Whoa mama.

Remember that each link party is open for 72 hours so be sure to scroll down and see the newest links! And, as always, don't forget our pretty Flickr group friends.

Next up, we have:

Day 4 is kind of the opposite of Day 3. Instead of mixing pattern, we're mixing colors!

Color blocking is a fancy term for large chunks of solid colors worn together. It's usually bright colors, but muted is really pretty too (see the third pic below).

Some examples.

  1. I have a really cute color blocked dress which would be PERFECT for this... but I can't wear it to work. It's a little too short for the office. Sighhhhh...

I almost wore three patterns today but gave up on the extra layer due to the heat. I now wish I had! Bummer!

  3. I really want to join your linky party, but I haven't felt so "hot" the past couple of weeks. My rump is starting to look lumpy.
