Red, White and Bleh

Gap shirt, skirt from a dress I chopped up, Tom's wedges, gifted bracelets, earrings from Petal and Pink

I apologize for the lack of outfit posts from me lately. The truth is, I've been feeling a bit under the weather in a vague, undefinable way. Just really tired and sort of blah. On the days I've actually gotten myself dressed I haven't been able to find the time or energy to take pictures. I'm not sure if it's related, but I've also gained a couple pounds which translates to an extra inch all over which doesn't help matters because now my clothes don't fit quite right and I just feel fat and grumpy a lot.

And before anyone starts speculating, it's not that. Which is good, because I am completely unprepared to go through that again right now. The two I've got are...a little difficult these days (understatement).

Yes, this skirt. AGAIN. I think I've forgotten that I have anything else in my closet to wear on my lower half.

But in honor of the 4th of July I got dressed, I took pictures and now I have blogged them. Red, white and blue has always been one of my favorite color combos and I love everything about this holiday. The food, the fireworks, the parades, everything. It's just a fun holiday with great history that doesn't require much out of me (no gifts! no fancy meals!). Just BBQs at other people's houses then sitting on my butt to watch fireworks then home and sleep. My kind of holiday.

  1. Oh my goodness. I've been going through this the past couple of weeks too (also not that). Yesterday I thought, "Hey! I don't have to work custodial tonight...I think I'll get dressed!" And then none of my clothes had the decency to actually look awesome on me. Jerks.

If it makes you feel better, you still look fabulous, and I love you.

  5. Ah yes, the clothes that fit a bit snugger than they used to...I'm blaming the dryer. I have had that for a bit as well---stare into the closet and think, "Hmmmm, what in here will actually fit right?" Personally though, I think you look amazing!

  7. As soon as I ended my 21 days of eating raw, I kinda fell off the wagon. Whoops.

And whenever I'm having a grumpy day, Spencer and I have a tickle fight. Tickle fight! HAHA! Got you!

  10. Just blog hopping here, but I when I read that you're feeling lethargic and gained a few pounds, I thought I'd mention that it might be a thyroid (TSH or something...) imbalance. I know a lot of women (particularly if they've eaten a lot of soy) who have this. It's easily diagnosed- just a blood test. :)

Sorry if I'm overstepping my bounds or anything- just thought I'd mention it! I love what I'm seeing on your blog!
